Hawkers Alley

Overview

If you're in the mood for a memorable meal in downtown Cincinnati, Hawkers Alley is a must-visit destination. Located at 28 W Court St, Cincinnati, OH 45202, this restaurant brings an exciting and unique dining experience to the heart of the city. Whether you're a local or just passing through, stepping into Hawkers Alley feels like uncovering a hidden gem, and its menu will make you want to return time and time again.

From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted by a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. The modern yet casual setting creates the perfect backdrop for a laid-back dining experience. It’s not just about the food; it’s the entire vibe that makes Hawkers Alley stand out. The place is buzzing with energy, but never too overwhelming, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in comfort.

What sets Hawkers Alley apart is its diverse menu. There’s something for everyone, no matter your craving. One of the first things you'll notice is the variety of Asian-inspired dishes. The chefs at Hawkers Alley have done an excellent job of blending traditional flavors with contemporary twists. Whether you're into spicy noodles, crispy dumplings, or flavorful rice bowls, you’ll find options that hit the spot.

During one of my visits, I decided to try their signature dish-the spicy ramen. I was impressed by the balance of flavors in the broth, which was rich and comforting without being overwhelmingly spicy. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the toppings, from the soft-boiled egg to the tender pork, made each bite an exciting journey. It’s clear that every dish is thoughtfully crafted, with ingredients that are both fresh and full of flavor.

Another standout on the menu is the bao buns. These fluffy, pillowy buns are filled with juicy fillings like braised pork belly or fried chicken, creating a perfect harmony of texture and taste. They're the kind of dish that makes you wonder how something so simple can bring so much joy. And if you're a fan of street food, you'll be pleased to find several small bites like spring rolls and skewers that offer bold, satisfying flavors.

Aside from the fantastic menu, the customer service at Hawkers Alley also deserves mention. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to offer recommendations if you're unsure what to order. Whether you're visiting for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends, they make sure you feel at home.

Beyond just the food, the restaurant’s prime location in Cincinnati is another reason why it's so popular. Situated in a bustling area, it’s perfect for grabbing a bite before heading to nearby attractions or catching up with friends. The location is convenient for anyone in the downtown area, making it an ideal spot for both locals and tourists.

What really adds to the appeal of Hawkers Alley is the way it embraces local culture while introducing an exciting international twist to its menu. The restaurant’s approach to modern Asian cuisine is both innovative and respectful of traditional recipes, making it a fantastic choice for those looking to try something new. It's a place where food lovers can explore exciting flavors in a welcoming atmosphere.

If you're someone who values good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service, Hawkers Alley should be on your radar. Whether it's a weekday lunch, a weekend dinner, or just a night out with friends, this spot delivers an experience you won't forget.

Huge portions and reasonable price with fantastic flavors. A definite return stop for us. Plus the wait staff went far and above with looking at ingredients making sure it was safe for one of our group. Worth the stop.

Extremely fast service! Food was very filling and had great portions for the price. It's one of those places you have to go back to to try everything. And I know I will :)

If you love to eat meat, I highly recommend this place. I came here for lunch with coworkers and it did not disappoint. As a starter, I ordered their popcorn chicken with the basil and salt seasoning, and it came with an alioli on the side. The chicken was seasoned so well that it didn't even need the dipping sauce, but was definitely elevated with the sauce. I also ordered the fried eggplant that had a light crispy outer layer. For my main entree, I ordered the chicken skewers: Satay, Lemongrass and the Cilantro/black peppers. All three were amazing. The servers were also attentive and quick. I definitely would recommend this to anyone and looking forward to eating here again.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. It’s like a hidden gem. The service was top notch, food was delicious, and drinks fantastic. Everything was just done to perfection. We had the skewers, fried eggplant, tornado fries, and the cucumber salad. The food was so good we ordered some to go and brought it home to the kids!

First time in Cincinnati and this was FANTASTIC food! Affordable Asian Street Vendor cuisine with friendly and attentive service! I’d leave 6 stars if I could! The Hawkers Soba was delicious and just a lovely meal!

Taco week got me in. The great food will keep me going back. Jamie served me at the bar, super quick! I had the Birria Pho taco, the Japanese Curry Katsu taco and the Korean BBQ taco. I would come back for all three! Best food of Taco week!

I’ve tried this place twice now and the food is sooooo good! Pretty great price too for what you get. I’ve tried the Tofu Katsu, a pork belly dish, and the takoyaki. I really have to compliment them on the tofu. Definitely as good as some you’d find at a vegan or vegetarian place!
